Beverley & District Motor Club Ltd once again ran the Maple Garage Beaver Rally.
As the first ever event was in 1977, this is the 30th Anniversary of this popular event, voted best round in both the Midnight Motorsport ANCC and EMAMC AB Motorsport Road Rally Championships in 2006. It is also a round of the C.A.R.S. ANEMMC Road Rally Championship.
The organising team, who are all successful Road Rally competitors are once again planning an event that other competitors will enjoy, covering roads further north of the usual Maple Garage Beaver Rally territory. The route will be on OS Maps 106 and 101, covering approximately 145 miles, starting and finishing in the Bridlington area. There will be approximately 25 miles of 'white' roads. These will be of mixed surfaces, half of which will be concrete roads, about a quarter of them forest style tracks, the remainder being relatively smooth farm tracks. As usual, these have all been traversed in a standard car, but would still recommend sump guards for the more flamboyant competitors.
Regulations and entry forms will become available here around the middle of October.
