Beverley & District Motor Club Ltd is once again running the Maple Garage Beaver Rally. It will be a round of the PJ Parts ANCC, EMAMC AB Motorsport, C.A.R.S. ANEMMC, KLMC-TNC, and SD34 Road Rally Road Rally Championships as usual.

The organising team, who are all successful Road Rally competitors, are again planning an event that other competitors will hopefully enjoy, covering roads away from the more traditional Maple Garage Beaver Rally territory, on OS Maps 94 and 100, covering approximately 150 miles.

The Event will Start and Finish at The Dalby Forest Visitor Centre, Low Dalby, Pickering, North Yorkshire. Map Reference 100 / 855½ 876½.

As many of the best Events are being required to do, many hours have been spent gaining permission from land owners to use roads on private land. Some are still being negotiated!! There will be approximately 15+ miles of these 'white' roads.

The 'whites' will be of mixed surfaces, but not entirely smooth tracks, some of which will be 'Forest style' in surface. As usual, these have all been traversed in a standard car, but would still recommend sump guards for the more flamboyant competitors.

As competitors from the last two or three years will know, a lot of effort has been made each year to listen and learn what you all (and we!!) want from an Event. More importantly, what you don't want. The Navigation will be straightforward, without anything you could call a 'trick'. I hope you enjoy this year even more, I think I will!!

As is becoming increasingly necessary on Road Rallies, the Organisers will take care to ensure that competitors are not required to drive at excessive speeds on the public highway.

To achieve this, as some other events have already done this year, some Standard Sections may be completed with more simple navigation, acting more as link sections to the more competitive sections, some of which will be partly on private land.

Route Checks will also be used for safety, at SGW's as we have done previously, as well as at some particular points of danger. (i.e. uneven road surface, bad bend, long straight)

That is our intention; hopefully we will come close to achieving this.
