Thanks to the efforts of our 2000 Larkspeed League competitors, the Armstrong Massey Rally 2000 is a round of the Larkspeed League. The usual prize money was on offer in 2000, with the Armstrong Massey Rally doubling the prize fund from Larkspeed as we end up in the top ten. The prize fund from Larkspeed was £34, with another £34 being donated by the Rally. Money distribution is detailed below.

Howard Everingham alone competed on this event at Leeds footboall ground. He managed to win his class, which gave him a score of 98.9, making Beverley 10th club after the first round.
15th/16th AprilTrackrodSingle Venue Stage RallyLookout Stages - Melbourne 
We were represented by Andy Rowe and Neil Holland on this event, who came 8th out of 20 in class B. This gave them a score of 43.3, making us 16th club on the event, and 14th overall in the league.
30th AprilYorkshire Sports CarAutotest  
Another lone showing by Howard Everingham at this Autotest saw him win his class again, and gain another score of 98.9. This put Beverley 8th club on the event, and raised us to the magic 10th overall in the league.
7th MaySheffield & HallamshireSprintCurborough 
Jon Meacock competed on this event in his road-going Golf GTI and gained a very respectable 3rd in class out of 8. This got him a score of 72.5, putting the club 5th on the event, and ensuring that we remained at 10th overall.
21st MayAiredale & PennineProduction Car TrialKeighley 
No-one from the club competed on this event. However, we still managed to stay in 10th place overall.
10th JuneNorth HumbersideSingle Venue Stage RallyJohn Overend Stages - Manby 
Ian Kirk and Dave Lowson made their stage rallying debut in this event, but unfortunately seized the engine in their Escort and had to retire. They gained us 5 points, but unfortunately we dropped to 11th overall in the league.
18th JuneHuddersfieldAutotestNear Selby 
Yet another event competed on solely by Howard Everingham, and yet another 1st in class! 6th club on the event, but we stayed at 11th overall in the league.
9th JulyBeverley/BuccaneerMulti Venue Stage RallyArmstrong Massey Rally 
Our own event was competed on by a total of 5 crews, with top honours going to a crew who joined on the day (Tony Mantle and Richard Weaver), and gained us 65.6 points by coming 4th out of 9 in thier class. Other points were gained by Andy Rowe and Neil Holland, who scored 53.8, and Gav Smith and Ben Lawrenson, who scored 32.2. Comiserations go to Mike Smith and Guy Gladwin and to Ian Kirk and Carl Briggs, who both didn't finish. The club ended up 6th on the event (out of no fewer than 17 clubs - making the Armstrong Massey the most supported Larkspeed League event), and this put us up one place to 10th overall, back in the top ten at last!
23rd JulyIlkleyProduction Car Trial  
An excellent showing by Jon Meacock (4th out of 33 - 97.9 points) and Howard Everingham (6th out of 33 - 91.8 points) put us 5th club on the event, and saw us storm up the league to 7th overall.
10th SeptemberYorkAutotestAcaster Malbis
Another lone showing by Howard Everingham who scored 1st in class, getting us another 95.7 points, and leaving us 8th overall in the League. Well done Howard!
