Thank you for your entry. You will be able to find your competitor number on the Entry List and your sound check time on the Sound Test / Scrutineering Time Schedule
The sound check, scrutineering, and signing on locations are different on Saturday and Sunday. Please see below for full details.
You MUST report to the sound check at the time given on the Documentation Form. If you are more than ten minutes early or late, the Environmental Scrutineer will refuse to perform the sound check, and you will need to contact the Entries Secretary for a new time. We have operated this system in the past, and found it was very successful in reducing queues at scrutineering. If the time you have been given is not suitable, you must ring the Entries Secretary on 01482-876400, and she will issue you with a new time. If you need to change your time very close to the event, she can be contacted on 07929-050485.
The Environmental Scrutineer will supply you with a Documentation Form, to show that you arrived on time, and to indicate that you passed the sound check. You will also be issued with your competition numbers at the sound check (free of charge). Once you have passed the sound check, please proceed to scrutineering, making sure that your competition numbers have been fixed on before you arrive.
The Scrutineer will also need to sign your Documentation Form, as well as see your MOT certificate where appropriate. He will also need to see both helmets and sets of overalls, so please have these ready.
After passing scrutineering, move to signing on. You must sign on straight after scrutineering, and will need to take competition licences, including entrant's licence if applicable, club membership cards and the Documentation sheet with you when you sign on. If only one of the crew is present at signing-on, you will be given your full pack except your time cards. These will only be given once the other crew member has signed on. Note that we are quite happy to scrutineer with only one crew member present providing that both helmets and overalls are there.
You will be issued with a Rally Pack containing road book, rally plates, time cards, etc., as soon as you have successfully signed on.
The official notice board will be in the signing on office. Please make sure you read the notices.
Slicks Tyres will be in attendance on the event selling tyres.
C.J. Rallying will be in attendance at scrutineering selling various essential bits!
Saturday sound test and scrutineering is taking place at Sargent Electrical Services Ltd on Tokenspire Industrial Estate just outside Beverley. This is on the A1174 road between Beverley and Hull, on map 107 at 055386. Note that the industrial estate is private land, so untaxed rally cars will be able to unload legally. Note that mobile telephones do not work well inside this building, so competitors wishing to contact us there may have more success using 01482-678983. Please can parking be restricted to the Sargent Electrical Services car park if possible, as the owners of the premises across the road are not happy about cars on their premises.
Sunday scrutineering will take place at the event venue. The gates to the venue will be open from 6am. Please refer to the venue plan for details of where it will be located.

In addition to the above, a display shows the actual time of day. When the competitor breaks the beam, the time will be printed on the Racetime unit ( Clock) .A DIFF + time indicates the competitor left the start line after the due start time. A DIFF - time indicates the competitor left the start line prior to the start time, showing seconds and 1/10ths. This will lead to a jump start penalty. In the event of failure of the automatic equipment, we will revert to the manual system as described in the regulations. |
Competitors are reminded that the Beverley & DMC website at www.bdmc.org.uk will contain LIVE results from the event as it progresses, (technology permitting!) We hope this will prove useful to friends and families, sponsors, press contacts etc.
There has been some controversy on recent events regarding competitors being prevented from attempting stages after their actions had suggested that they should be subject to the penalty of exclusion. Competitors should note that only the Clerk of the Course in person has the right to exclude a competitor. If the Clerk of the Course issues a competitor with WRITTEN notice that they are excluded, then they may not continue. Until that written notice is received, they are free to continue. The MSA regulations encourage the Clerk of the Course to allow sufficient time for competitors to discuss such a penalty in a calm manner, and therefore it is likely that such discussions would only be able to take place at the end of the event. It is therefore highly unlikely that a penalty of exclusion would be applied during the event.
Free camping on the venue is available on the Saturday night. However, in order to allow us to set up the stages undisturbed, competitors will not be allowed access on Saturday until 6pm. Additionally, the gates to the venue will be locked at 9pm and re-open at 6am, so once on the venue you won't be able to get out. The camping area is in the middle of the stage (not our choice!!), so competitors MUST ONLY follow the route shown on the plan to get to the camping area.
Any person found on any other part of the venue, even if on foot, will be refused a start. (S.R. 19.f applies). Note that the Chief Scrutineer and other officials will be present on the airfield during the night and will report back to the Clerk of the Course on any infringements.
The service area toilets should be in place by the Saturday evening, and campers may use them. Note however, that these are about 500m away from the camping area, so you may wish to make other arrangements! There are no other facilites on the venue
Access to the venue is available from 6pm to 9pm on Saturday 6th July, and from 6am on Sunday 7th July. Access is only available via the enclosed passes, which admit one vehicle and occupants. The pass marked 'RALLY CAR' is for the rally car, the ones marked 'SERVICE CREW' are for other vehicles. Please show these in the windscreen as indicated on the pass. There is free access into and out of the service area during the day for any vehicles with passes.
